Recapping Tech Talk Live 2024!

Last week we had the pleasure of attending Tech Talk Live’s 2024 conference. The conference is put on by Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 and is Pennsylvania’s first technology conference that centers around the day-to-day issues that technology professionals face in the educational environment. This year Tech Talk Live celebrated 15 years of bringing actionable information to IT professionals that they can implement into their organization right away through this incredible conference.

Over the course of three days, attendees are able to participate in various presentation and workshops. This year, many of the topics were centered around cybersecurity, PIMS data system, and AI in education. Parmetech was a sponsor of the event, and we had a booth exhibiting our K-12 education technology offerings during the expo portion of the conference on May 7^th and 8^th. It was a blast getting to showcase our latest technology products and solutions, getting to meet new people, and getting some facetime with customers! Let’s get into a little recap of our time at Tech Talk Live 2024!

This was Parmetech’s second year sponsoring and exhibiting at Tech Talk Live and we had so much fun! There was a lot of interest in our education solutions, and there were definitely some hot topics we had many conversations about with our existing customers and prospective customers from K-12 schools.

1. Google EDLA-Certified Interactive Display

Many K-12 schools are using the Google Workspace exclusively, and so there was a lot of interest in our ViewSonic IFP52 ED Google EDLA-certified interactive whiteboard that we had at our booth. We did quite a few demos showcasing some of the top features of the display, including the direct access to the Google Play Store and seamless integration with Google Workspace for Education. Additionally, we showcased how ViewSonic’s myViewBoard digital whiteboarding software, which comes bundled with the display at no additional cost, allows  teachers to create engaging lesson plans, collaborate with students in real-time, and deliver multimedia presentations.

2. Microsoft Teams Conference Room All-in-One Solution

There was a lot of interest around our ViewSonic TeamJoin all-in-one conference room solution. This certified solutions for teams conference rooms is designed for ease of use and allows teachers or staff to start meetings with a single touch, eliminating complicated setups. Features like a proximity sensor can even automatically activate the display when a someone enters the room, saving valuable time.

3. Digital Signage

Since many attendees already have ViewSonic interactive whiteboards and displays integrated throughout their school districts, many were impressed to learn that they can use their myViewBoard Manager software for easy digital signage. We showcased how you can use myViewBoard Manager to broadcast images, videos, webpages, and playlists, and how IT admin can manage and schedule content remotely from a central hub.

We talked to several different schools about Parmetech’s offerings for print management for education including managed print services contract and print management software. We also discussed our print hardware offerings including A4, A3 and specialty printers such as Zebra card printers.
